Gluten Free BUZZ!

Check out the new Gluten Free sweets in the Buzz Cafe, bottom floor of the EMU. So far there has been GF lemon bars, chocolate torte, apricot bars and macaroons! Try one and fill out a comment card (near the Buzz's microwave) with positive feedback and suggestions if you'd like to see these options stay on campus!

List of People interested in Joining a CSA

Many members have voiced interest in becoming a member to a Community Support Agriculture (CSA)program. Most CSAs work with a system of delivering "shares" to members. For example, once a week you get a bag of veggies and fruit. It's a surprise, and you pay a set price every week to receive local organic produce, which usually seems to come out cheaper than if you bought the items in the grocery store.

3 great recipes...

have just been posted under Forums Yummy Recipes. They are 3 of my favorite. I hope to post more when I get them entered in a computer.

Holy Cow or Laughing Planet?

So, if the need to register to vote is the determining factor of whether you vote or not, don't let it be!
1.) It only take 12 seconds!
2.) You don't get put on some "list" and receive emails, etc.
3.) You can be deleted after you vote. Just email onutrition@gmail.com

The only reason to register is for controlling people from voting more than once.

Thanks for Participating in the Poll, many of you will be happy to hear that Holy Cow will be staying in the EMU.

I want Laughing Planet Cafe to take Holy Cow's spot.

Holy Cow Cafe

Anyone interested in supporting Holy Cow is invited to come to our meetings in the Survival Center at 4pm on Fridays. Sorry for the short notice today, but it took me awhile to figure out how to do a post.

A few articles of possible interest. . .

Using my day off wisely, I've found some articles on corn and meat production that I thought were particularly interesting.

This first link is a review of a documentary called "King Corn" where two college friends grow an acre of corn and try to follow where and how it goes into our food system. I requested the film through inter-library loan, and I'll let you know if I obtain it. I liked the part at the end where it talks about what the two friends did at Yale--a lot like what we're trying to do.
